Vargus USA announces new VP of Sales and Marketing

Vargus USA is pleased to announce that Scott Golden is joining our team as Vice President of Sales & Marketing.  

Scott comes to Vargus USA from Kennametal Inc.   He has been employed by Kennametal for 11 years, most recently as Sales Manager.  Additionally, Scott founded CPK Industrial Tooling, a distributor of high performance cutting tools, tooling systems and services that targeted end users of special and standard cutting tools.

Scott has over twenty years experience in sales, marketing, and engineering in the metalworking industry.  He is well versed and experienced in implementing strategic sales plans, creating annual sales quotas and budgets, advertising and promotions, new product development, technical training, and application support. 

Scott will begin his new position on Monday, February 6, 2012.  Please welcome Scott to the Vargus USA team and wish him good luck in his new position.

Please join me in congratulating Jeff Major on his promotion to Director of US Sales effective Monday, January 2, 2012. 

In this new role, Jeff will lead our efforts in growing Greenfield business through all channels in the United States. He will work from the Chicago, IL area and report to Ty Taylor.

Jeff comes to us with an extensive background in the cutting tools industry, having held increasingly responsible positions with Vargus USA, Melcut Tools and Precision Twist Drills.  His market knowledge and network presence in the industry will prove to be a valuable asset to our sales team.
